Last week the Yass Valley Business Chamber announced that the Yass Valley Council, the RIOTACT and Farrah Liquor Collective have joined forces to promote tourism in the Yass Valley.

This is being done through a ‘Visit Yass Valley’ installation at Farrah Liquor Collective in Canberra. Farrah Liquor Collective have set up a 400m2 area in the store solely focused on the promotion of Yass Valley wines and what is going on in the Yass Valley.

The installation includes an information desk whereby staff distribute the new Yass Valley guide and talk to customers about what is going on in the region. Local wines will also be available for tasting and will be sold in the store.

Of importance to note is that Farrah’s has also started a wholesale division so not only do they retail local wines, but they also offer the wholesale option so they can get the wines into all the restaurants, bars and clubs throughout Canberra. Farrah’s have explained they are opening new accounts and are selling a large quantity of Canberra wines through this channel.

Any wineries in the Yass Valley interested in being part of this opportunity should contact:

The Chamber congratulated Council, The RIOTACT and Farrah’s on this initiative, and said it hopes to see Yass Valley Council continue to roll out other similar initiatives as part of a broader promotional strategy for the Yass Valley.
