Yass Valley Council News

Like other local government areas across the State, Yass Valley Council has launched the “Towards 2042” initiative, which seeks to identify main ideas and priorities for the local government area for the future, which will be documented in a Community Strategic Plan. The Council is asking that everyone gets on board to have their say.

There are several ways to do this, including:
• Completing an online or hard copy survey. The online survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YVC-Main. A printable copy of the survey also available from the Library and Council Customer Service desk.

• Attend a community pop up session at Council Chambers on Thursday, 29th July 2021, starting at 2pm and finishing at 6pm. There is no need to book into the session prior to attending. The current COVID-19 restrictions will apply, including the need to check in via a QR code, wear a mask and maintain social distancing while in the Chambers.

• Attend a community online workshop via Zoom, which will be held on Thursday, 5th August 2021. The Zoom link will be provided shortly on the Council’s website.

• Participate in a targeted phone call with the Council’s survey partners. A survey partner can contact you by telephone to discuss the project and the Community Strategic Plan. Please let Council know if you would like to participate. There are a limited number of places available for people to participate.
