Success fo CWA Yass Branch

Well, it might have been raining when the Yass CWA held its street stall on Saturday 20th November 2021, but spirits were not dampened and nor were sales.

The stall which was held in the Rotary Kiosk, opposite the newsagency, was home to freshly baked scones, coconut ice, dried apples, and all manner of delicious jams and chutneys. Two tables were erected alongside the kiosk under the broad veranda, which sold a range of plants as well as handicrafts such as beautiful homemade Christmas Cards, bags, Christmas stockings and stuffed toys.

CWA Yass’s Handicraft’s Officer, Karen Smith, said “There was such excitement amongst members getting ready for the stall, and being on hand on the day to catch up with friends and neighbours.

“We started preparing weeks in advance and it gives us great satisfaction to know that the money we’ve raised will assist us in our community building activities.”

The next meeting of the Yass CWA will be held on Thursday 2nd December at 9:30am at the CWA rooms in Banjo Patterson Park, and all are welcome.
