Spring in Yass Valley is a vibrant time of year as the countryside comes alive with endless opportunities to experience and share.
As we welcome the warmer weather, it is a time for visitors to get out and about and enjoy some renowned events with our charismatic locals.
Yass Valley Council’s Economic Development Manager A/g, Georgia Patmore, said that spring is the busiest time for events in the Yass Valley, with everything from local food and wine to open gardens, artist trails and live music on offer.
“Spring in Yass Valley is full of life and excitement; it’s a great time for locals and visitors to the region to get out and about and enjoy some unmissable spring events,” said Ms Patmore.
Events in September include:
Tulip Top Gardens: 10 September–16 October 2022
Held at 20 Old Federal Highway, Sutton
Tulip Top Gardens is a blissful haven and a must-visit destination in spring. Acres of stunning, world-class gardens and thousands of blossoms paint the scene for almost a million tulips, daffodils and other flowers creatively planted.
Irish & Celtic Music Festival: 16-18 September 2022
Held at various venues within the Yass township
Join in the fun of concerts, poetry, dancing, workshops and Celtic markets. Yass Valley residents and visitors alike will be spoiled for choice from Friday 5:00 pm-Sunday 5:00 pm. Australia Cool Climate Wine Show: 24 September 2022
Held at Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds
The Australian Cool Climate Wine Show is a national wine show held annually in September, dedicated to benchmarking the unique wine styles produced from Australia’s cool climate wine regions. This event includes public wine tasting sessions and the Long Table Wine Luncheon. For ticketing, please visit the website.
