While Omicron case numbers are falling, and measures to protect the population are slowly easing, it’s a sad fact that we are still in the midst of the pandemic.

The Older Person’s COVID-19 Support Line has been established to provide information and support to senior Australians, their families and carers.

The support service is a joint initiative of National Seniors Australia, COTA Australia, Dementia Australia and the Older Persons Advocacy Network, and enables anyone to pick up the phone and talk to qualified professionals to obtain important COVID-19 information.

During the pandemic, the Support Line has assisted over 40,000 older Australians with information on COVID-19.

If you need assistance, the team can support you with information on:

  • Vaccine booster appointments and information
  • Vaccine passport requirements in each state
  • COVID-19 testing information
  • Rapid antigen testing (RAT) availability.

If you are feeling anxious, or would like additional information and support, please call the Older Persons COVID-19 Support Line on 1800 171 866, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 6pm (except public holidays).
