Renewable energy developer and operator CWP Renewables is calling on community groups and charities to apply for sponsorship in a special Christmas $30,000 round of support.

CWP Renewables Head of Development, Ed Mounsey, said with the challenges and impacts of COVID-19 in recent times, there was a desire to ensure local community groups had additional support.

“If we can make it a little easier for the community organisations that do such a great job of providing support for those in need at Christmas, we’d like to hear from you,” he said.

“Whilst we offer community sponsorships all year around in the areas in which our projects are located, we wanted to provide additional support during the Christmas period.

“Last year, our Sapphire Wind Farm near Glen Innes provided funding for a local Christmas toy drive. We want to spread the Christmas cheer across all the regions we have a presence in,” Mr Mounsey said.

“For Bango Wind Farm which is under construction, applications will be considered from organisations which operate or service the Yass Valley Council and Hilltops Council areas.”

Christmas sponsorship requests are welcome until cob Friday 12th November 2021 in all local government areas of CWP Renewables projects.

A total sponsorship pool of $30,000 will be shared across the regions in support of Christmas initiatives.

Applications can be submitted on the CWP Renewables website.
