Cooma Cottage Heritage Walk

The Australian Heritage Festival is here and Cooma Cottage is celebrating by offering two exclusive, in-depth talks about the life and adventures of famous explorer, Hamilton Hume.

The two talks are by knowledgeable house guides from Cooma Cottage. The morning session is “Hamilton Hume’s Curiosity”, and covers the early days and exploration, and Hume’s adventures and exploration leading to his retirement to Cooma Cottage. The afternoon session is “Hamilton Hume’s life at Cooma Cottage”, and explores Hume’s life in Yass and his impact on the town, as well the history and lives of subsequent inhabitants of Cooma Cottage.

Cooma Cottage boasts amazing views over the Yass Valley and is the perfect setting to celebrate heritage with these exclusive talks. Tea, coffee and slice or cake provided.
