Connect-at-Gunning-Station

The Gunning community is working with Southern Tablelands Arts (STA) and Transport for NSW to activate the interior spaces at Gunning Train Station. The station is undergoing significant restoration and is set to become a hub for cultural experiences and opportunities such as exhibitions, heritage displays, programs, events, workshops, community meetings and gatherings.

As a result of a region wide call out to find a name for the new space, STA announced last week that the name “Connect@Gunning Station” is the people’s choice.

Transport for NSW is leading the project to restore and activate the previously unused spaces at Gunning Station. Work is progressing on site and specialists are bringing the station’s heritage features back to life. Incidentally, Gunning Station is still a working station for NSW TrainLink customers with daily XPT services. Work is progressing on site with the restoration anticipated to be completed in May.

An early program planned for Connect@Gunning Station is the SnapWrite exhibition through the Gunning Arts Festival. SnapWrite will be a photo story exhibition encapsulating the beauty of living in the Southern Tablelands region. You can find out more and get involved by visiting their website.
